Several years ago an overstuffed, plastic, ziploc bag containing the torn up and scrambled remains of a spiral bound notebook was discarded on the doorstep of our studio (empty set project space) in downtown Pittsfield, Ma. We brought it upstairs, thinking at first that it might be an early entry to one of our infamous Paper Shows. Included with the approximately 3780 ripped pieces was a bent and deformed silver ring. In retrospect, more than anything else, it may have been the ring that exerted the strongest pull toward reconstructing the notebook's contents. Over the years we've slowly pieced the pages back together, each reassembled page pulling us further in as the hidden narrative was slowly revealed. In December of 2010 we finished placing the last remaining fragments of text .
